Introduction
About me
Samson was our family German Shepherd, honestly, we didn’t have a clue what we were doing with him! He was well loved and had a good life but it did leave a nagging question; how do you train a dog like him?
I’ve always been known as having a knack with dogs, I’ve dog-sat for friends and been who they turn to when their dogs are a bit ‘difficult’. Solving lots of little (and big) problems; reactivity, separation anxiety and (in one case) a German Shepherd with a bite history.
Recently I took on a challenging Pointer called Roo. Pointers can be a difficult breed and I’ve had to learn the hard way how to train a dog that really wants to chase squirrels. She’s my perfect partner, constantly pushing me to learn more and develop as a trainer. I can guarantee you that if you think your dog ignores you, or pulls on the leash, I’ve been there and it’s probably been much worse.
I recently studied to be a dog trainer, so I could break down what I was doing right (and wrong), develop and add to those skills, so now I can help you with your dog. I’m a fully qualified DTC (Dog Training College) trainer, (DTC-CDT). I keep up to date with all the changes in the dog training world with a program of continual professional development.
I’m currently based in Sidmouth, East Devon, loving the landscape and massive hills on our dog walks. I’m hoping to help as many people as I can with their dogs, so no matter what the problem is, get in touch so we can work together.
